Formation & Evangelization Overview Formation & Evangelization

Formation & Evangelization

Wherever you are in your journey of faith or as a member of the Catholic Church or St. Norbert Parish, there are ongoing formation and evangelization programs offered throughout the year to help you grow in your faith.

Adults: Most adults ended formal faith education when they were children yet continue to live in an increasingly complex society and grow in their own questions about life, faith and our Church. Adult Faith Formation at St. Norbert’s has been created to meet this need with Scripture study, Small Groups Faith Sharing, personal growth development in Living Your Strengths, lecture series on the Creed and Christian Foundations, history programs and a Catholic Book Club among other offerings.

Seekers: For those interested in exploring the Catholic Faith, we offer RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). To learn more about Christianity and your place in the world, there is the Alpha Program.

Engaged: If you are preparing to marry, our Pre-Cana program is designed to help you understand and more fully participate in the sacrament of marriage.

Young Families: For those with new babies, the Pre-Jordan program helps parents better understand the sacrament of baptism as they prepare for their new life together. Our Religious Education program offers several tracts designed to help families grow together in their Catholic Faith.

Evangelization: Adult Catholics are called to an ongoing process of discipleship in Jesus Christ. As part of the New Evangelization announced by Pope John Paul II and reinforced by Pope Benedict XVI, we are dedicated to helping our parishioners better understand our Catholic faith so we can live it and profess it confidently in our daily life.

Youth Group: Every Sunday night at 6 pm in our Church, St. Norbert Youth Group kicks off its program with our Youth Mass. Music, singing, worshiping, and participating are all part of the experience where teens and their adult core team leaders delve into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, our Church and themselves. The Sunday night Youth Mass is followed up with LIFE TEEN High School students and on Thursday night with THE EDGE for Middle School youth.

Thus, at St. Norbert Parish, a vibrant discipleship requires continual educational, spiritual and community growth. It is in response to our call of discipleship that we continue to develop programs and ministries focused on formation and evangelization. And we hope you will partake of the following offerings to continue on The Way to Jesus Christ.
