St. Norbert Young Adult Ministry
St. Norbert Young Adult Ministry is a community of young believers who gather in faith, fellowship and service to support the needs of each other and those around us.
No matter where you are on your journey of life and faith, our St. Norbert Young Adult Ministry creates a community of Christ-driven peers who feel comfortable holding discussions, performing acts of service and growing in purpose and love in our faith. Our ministry is specifically targeted to individuals in their 20s and 30s of any relationship or socioeconomic status. We engage in a number of activities at our parish and in the wider Philadelphia area.
What We Offer
Faith-Sharing Small Group – Tuesdays, 7:30pm (Parish Office/Old Convent across the parking lot from the church). This small group discusses the upcoming Sunday Gospel during Ordinary Time and delves into varying aspects of Catholicism via books, videos, etc. in other seasons.
First Friday Social! – The first Friday of each month, 9pm (TJ’s Bar & Grill in Paoli, PA). This is a casual, happy hour type event where young adults can gather and better get to know one another in a chill setting. It also follows the parish-wide Festival of Praise, held in St. Norbert’s Oratory at 7:30pm.
Service Opportunities – Our service coordinator organizes events throughout the year that are low time-commitment service opportunities with an emphasis on engaging with Catholic social justice teaching, that we might better live out Christ’s message in our community
Special Events – Participation in programs, trips, activities and events as they arise like the World Meeting of Families coming to Philadelphia this September 2015
Parish Activities – As full members of the St. Norbert Community, we also regularly participate as Young Adults in parish-wide activities.
