Administrative Assistant
Ruth Finley
Ruth for the past 19 years has been an Administrative Assistant in the parish. Prior to coming here she was a Sales Associate at Talbots in the Paoli Shopping Center.
Before Talbots Ruth had a non-profit called LifeWorks. LifeWorks employed homeless women and taught them to do housekeeping, laundress work and party serving. This enabled more than 17 women to leave the shelter where they were living and return to their homes and children. Empowering these women was most rewarding for Ruth.
Prior to running LifeWorks Ruth worked at Baker Industries, a non-profit work program for adults who are hard to employ, where she was responsible for bringing in work to be done in the program. She was also able to get several individuals employed by the corporations for whom they had been working. Again, the empowerment aspect of this work was most rewarding.
Prior to all of the work with non-profits, Ruth lived in New York and was a Vice President in operations, marketing, and sales, respectively for the Card Division of American Express.
Ruth is one of 7 children all of whom went to school and still live in this area. Anyone who knows Ruth knows she is a dog lover and has had toy poodles for years.
