Conference Day:  “Laudato Si: Care for our Common Home”

Tuesday, April 26, 2022

9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Presenter:  Sister Julia Keegan, OSF

Stipend:  $40 (includes Continental Breakfast, lunch and Mass)

This day will be a reflection on “Laudato Si ,”  the encyclical by Pope Francis addressed to “every person living on this planet”.  It is a call to enter into a dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet and a teaching about humankind’s responsibility to care for God’s creation and protect and care for the most vulnerable.  The main points of the encyclical will be outlined but we will also take the time to understand the theology and spirituality that underlie the encyclical.  There is a solid call to relook at our understanding and treatment of God’s creation and to recognize how our daily choices affect the poor and the marginal of our day.
