Please read Kristen’s request below.
My name is Kristen Lavallee. I am currently a Junior at Conestoga High School and a parishioner at St. Norbert’s Parish. I am a member of American Heritage Girls, which is a Christ-centered leadership and character development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. I am working on my Stars and Stripes Service Project, AHG’s highest award. Which involves at least 100 hours of service and many more qualifications.
I chose this project because I am extremely passionate about saving babies and spreading the pro-life mission. My grandmother taught me that all babies are precious and deserve a voice. She influenced me to participate in the March for Life, volunteer and pray for these babies who are voiceless. My grandmother passed away in 2015. Since then I have felt the obligation to continue her legacy.
For my Stars and Stripes project I have chosen Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center in Drexel Hill as my benefiting organization.
This fall I will be creating an outdoor seating area for moms, a support person, and a counselor to talk and discuss the precious life of an unborn baby. Since Covid, only the mothers are allowed in their facility leaving out anyone else the mom may want/need to bring for emotional support. However, with your financial support there will be a new sanctuary for these moms and their support system. In addition, I will be adding flower boxes to the front of the facility to create a welcoming environment and a garbage/recycling bin enclosure to tidy up the rear entrance of the facility.
If you are able, please donate to my project. I am also in need of a landscaper who could donate their time to clear out the weeds and poison ivy in order for the outdoor seating area to be built. I can assure you that this project will help our community and even save babies lives! Any funds that are not used will be donated directly to Amnion for all their needs!
Thank you for your generosity!
